The Moon Room
About The Moon Room
The 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing by NASA in 2019 inspired local artist Adrian Pritchard to make a series of Orbital Moons using high-grade art epoxy resins. The artist’s goal was to mirror the discovery of new planets since 1969 in his own creations to visualise new worlds like precious jewels, leading us to contemplate what lies beyond and our place within the universe. The paint on the epoxy moons has been physically manipulated by tipping and turning the surfaces allowing it to find its own channels under the pull of gravity.
